We just had a think about in the chat window with Jaws and I wanted to see what the actual forum people thought of an Idea I had.
Different Government Types effect your nation in different ways. £ main Government structure I thought of off the of off my head is:
Facism: Keeping in thinking of the small but professional armies that are generally associated with Fascist States maybe if there was the ability to build a special government office or something that acted like a recruitment office for said Government's unit. So for Fascism it could be a unit say a Commando of 2 str which is produced every 2 days.
Communism: Thinking of the Red army - Communism would allow the player to build a Levy office which in turn would produce 2, 0.5 str units a day under the title Conscripts or similar.
Capitalist: Due to the nature of a Capitalist state maybe if it was a building that produced a random unit every 2 days varying from 1 str to 2.2 str so as to introduce a feel for the capitalist way which is the market controls the supply and the best things aren't always available as somebody hasn't thought to make them.
There is huge room for more government types but I felt these would be the easiest to explain what I'm trying to get at. Help will be needed to determine how much each building would cost and when they would be available but I like the concept.
