Art shooting at multiple targets

Hi,

I was wondering if shooting with an artillery unit for a full hour has the same effect as shooting only a few seconds, i.e. would I do more or less damage if I shoot a few seconds at an enemy , then target a second enemy unit in range (maybe move the art. a few minutes if necessary) all within the same hour ?
