Can't Initialize South American Games

All my other games work fine, but on South America maps, the java gets stuck on 'Retrieving Game Data' and won't initialize... Its weird, I can get into the game when I first join it, but I can't quit out of the java and relog after that. No other games have this problem, and I've already tried three separate games on the South American map, and they all do this.
