On the Great War map you can't use one of the dis-/embarking places: if you try to send your troops in a direct way from Post Said to Nicosia - they wont do it - the root will go a longer way to avoid dis-/embarking on the Cyprus island south from Nicosia.
Using the "add via" option bringing the troops to the sea before that point of the cypus island and than directing them to Nicosia doesn't help - the will go back and over a long way to another disembarking place of the island
